Hrithik Roshan’s Father Rakesh Roshan REACTS To ‘Corona Pyaar Hai’ Title; Calls It ‘Childish And Immature’
With Eros International reportedly booking the title ‘Corona Pyaar Hai’ for a film, now Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai producer Rakesh Roshan has reacted to it, calling it childish and immature, and a mockery of the current situation the world is facing
The spread of COVID-19 or Coronavirus globally, is a cause of concern and several precautions are being taken all over the world to minimize the spread of the virus. Politicians across many parts of India have declared shutting down of schools, colleges, theatres, malls, and other public spaces. But looks like Bollywood filmmakers are already cashing on Coronavirus, and just recently it was reported that titles such as ‘Corona Pyaar Hai’ and ‘Deadly Corona’ have been registered for films. Now, Hrithik Roshan’s father Rakesh Roshan has reacted to the same.
As per a report of Times of India, the production house Eros International had booked the title ‘Corona Pyaar Hai,’ giving a twist to Hrithik Roshan’s debut film, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai. Rakesh Roshan, producer of Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, told Mid Day that it was childish and immature, and a mockery of the current situation. He said, “It’s a mockery of the situation that the world is combating. It’s childish and immature to do such a thing at this time. We should ignore these people as they are not thinking straight.”
Rakesh Roshan further added that there is no similarity between the two films- Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai and Corona Pyaar Hai, as the titles also have different meanings, and so there is nothing he can do about it.
Speaking of Corona Pyaar Hai, Krishika Lulla of Eros International confirmed with TOI about the title, and said, “Currently the scripting is going on. The subject (of the epidemic) is going to be set in a love story. Currently, we are fine-tuning the script and are waiting for things to subside, as things have come to a standstill now. Once everything is normal, we will start the project in full swing.”
